Our People

Hank Delano – Owner, Flint Chimney Co Pasadena

Hank Delano has run Flint Chimney Co Pasadena since the doors opened in 2002. He started on a sweep crew in his early twenties, then spent years doing installs and repairs before stepping into ownership. Hank still walks job sites regularly and takes the calls other people don’t want to. He wrote the 365-Day Done Right Promise himself, and he means it: if a covered repair fails within one full year, we come back at no charge. Outside of chimneys, Hank spends his weekends fishing the Arroyo Seco when the water’s moving and grumbling about Dodger traffic.

Marcus T. – Lead Technician

Marcus has been with Flint Chimney Co Pasadena for eleven years and leads most sweep and inspection calls across Pasadena, Altadena, and South Pasadena. His specialty is older masonry chimneys, the kind you find throughout Bungalow Heaven and the Craftsman districts, where lime mortar and seventy-year-old flue tiles need a careful hand. Marcus is certified through the Chimney Safety Institute of America and handles most of our Level 2 camera inspections. He keeps a small notebook of every fireplace he’s worked on, and he can tell you what the inside of a 1926 California bungalow chimney usually looks like before he even climbs the ladder.

Ray C. – Senior Installer

Ray is our senior installer and the person you want on the roof if your chimney needs real work. He’s been installing flue liners for over fifteen years, and he works with the brands we trust: DuraFlex and Olympia Chimney for stainless liners, HeatShield for resurfacing, and Copperfield hardscape components where they’re called for. Ray is the guy who measures twice, cuts once, and then measures again just to be sure. He also does most of our crown repair and chase cover work. On weekends you’ll find Ray rebuilding a 1968 Camaro in his garage, which explains why he’s particular about gaskets and sealant beads.

Tessa D. – Service Coordinator

Tessa is the voice on the phone when you call (626) 657-5513, and she’s the reason you’ll never hit a voicemail tree with us. She’s been with Flint Chimney Co Pasadena for four years, scheduling sweeps, inspections, and repairs across the San Gabriel Valley. Tessa knows the difference between a Level 1 inspection and a Level 2 inspection cold, and she’ll walk you through exactly what to expect before the crew arrives. She grew up in Pasadena and can recommend a good lunch spot near almost any neighborhood we work in. If you have a question about your estimate or your guarantee, Tessa either has the answer or knows who does.
